Khamari’s debut album A Brief Nirvana explores themes of self-reflection, longing, angst, and more throughout the project’s 11 tracks. On “These Four Walls,” the singer-songwriter navigates his feelings of loneliness and isolation caused by the lack of communication and connection within his relationship. “I sit alone in a castle of isolation/And every day I grow more and more impatient/While you keep me waiting,” he croons in the opening verse over melancholic guitar lines and subtle drums. Khamari expresses how these metaphorical walls he’s built around himself help protect him from the pain he’s experiencing from waiting for a partner who may never return.
